Lessons

Our Lesson Program

Our lessons are 50 minutes long in total and follow this format:

  • 10 minutes tack-up
  • 30 minutes in the saddle
  • 10 minutes tack-down

  • Your first lesson is an assessment of your riding and will take 50 minutes. All new clients will start in private lessons and can move to group or semi-private lessons once deemed ready by their trainer

We highly value our horses wellbeing so ground work and horsemanship will be taught alongside the work under saddle. We believe that this gives both the horse and rider a better connection and understanding of what they can set out to accomplish. Although weekly lessons are offered, riding more than once week is encouraged, just like Malcom Gladwell says  "The key to achieving true expertise in any skill is simply a matter of practicing, albeit in the correct way, for at least 10,000 hours."

This gives students a chance to develop their horsemanship skills and build on their relationship with the horse/pony. Which will help them become more confident riders and become more efficient tacking up for their lessons.
